PERSONAL STATEMENT
While being a student athlete can be very challenging, I find that being part of a team provides the positive relationships I need to keep me motivated and working hard on all fronts. I love lacrosse and being part of a team and want to seriously pursue playing lacrosse in college as I also work towards a higher education.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Describe Your Playing Style?: I would describe my style of play as aggressive but smart. I have no problem taking the shot when the game is on the line but I am also just as proud to have the game winning assist. I think I see the whole field well and try to play how I can best benefit the team. I consider myself a hard worker and coachable.
Personal Statement: While being a student athlete can be very challenging, I find that being part of a team provides the positive relationships I need to keep me motivated and working hard on all fronts. I love lacrosse and being part of a team and want to seriously pursue playing lacrosse in college as I also work towards a higher education.
Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: To be honest, I don't necessarily have any "favorite" athletes. I don't really have time to watch sports on TV and my favorite teams have always been college teams. Missy Franklin is a local girl here in Denver and it was really cool to watch her journey through the Olympics and see how her hard work paid off. I tend to like athletes more when they play hard and have a good reputation on and off whatever field they play on.
Other activites and interests: Studies and lacrosse take up the majority of my time. When I'm not studying, practicing, or playing I try to hang out with my friends and support them at their activities. I like going to their events like soccer, ballet, or football. I love the mountains and feel lucky that I live so close. In the last couple years, I have tried a bunch of new things like wake surfing and standup paddle boarding. I really like the water too so these were really fun.
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: I have had the opportunity to play lacrosse since I was in the third grade. I started going to Denver University overnight camps way back then. I remember thinking the DU women players were larger than life and I wanted to be like them. As I've gotten older I've had the opportunity to be coached by them and even play with them and have found them to be true examples of student athletes. The program and players at DU continue to inspire me to pursue my dream of a higher education and playing lacrosse at the college level. They showed me you could have fun, be silly, and flip the switch when it was time to practice or play.
About Me: I like to laugh and joke around and have fun. High school and lacrosse can get pretty serious sometimes so I have had to figure out how to manage time and activities so that I don't get too stressed out. I have two half brothers, lots of cousins, aunts, and uncles, and family gatherings can get really big. I like having a big family. I am self motivated to do well in school and lacrosse but it is my family and team's support that keeps me going when it gets hard.
