Recommendation: | Tyler is one of the best Catchers I have seen in the San Gabriel Valley in the past 10 years. His defensive skills continue to improve with his work ethic and mental toughness, he already possesses a strong arm with quick feet and a quick release. His display of leadership qualities on the field is what you expect from your Catcher and will be a great addition to your program. Tyler is the type of player every Coach looks for. |

Recommendation: | Tyler is a standout 2-way player who is still undecided on his primary position. Tyler excels and shows tremendous upside behind home plate as a catcher and on the mound as a RHP. Tyler uses his quick feet and tremendous hands to control the running game. His bull dog mentality shows in his ability to block the ball and receive. Tyler is currently working to address the mental side of catching by learning to handle a pitching staff as well as manage a game and call pitches by understanding swing recognition. Tyler’s secondary position is as a RHP who generates tremendous arm strength from a smaller athletic frame. He has the ability to command 3 pitches, FB, SL and CH. (in respective order). Work ethic is off the charts and shows the ability to be managed and coached. Tyler takes his on field work ethic and carries that over to the classroom where he finds himself excelling and striving for more. Great kid, tremendous family, his makeup is through the roof and will run through a wall for this game. |

Recommendation: | "Tyler has committed to developing his skills as a catcher these past 5 months. His two best tools fit what every college coach wants in a catcher, quick feet and a dynamic arm that shows plus late carry. He has improved his pop-times and accuracy tremendously from mid-fall to the present by almost two-tenths of a second, which is a testament to his work-ethic and focus. His current pop range is 1.88-1.99 and still improving. He has active feet with agility to block/recover and shows ability for continued development. Overall, Tyler is an exciting prospect. His tools combined with his character and coachability give him solid projectability going into the spring of his junior season. " |
