PERSONAL INFORMATION |
Describe Your Playing Style?: | I try to play with a goal in mind. Most of the time I want to play trying to shoot for even-par, and if I can, under-par. I'm not too serious when it comes to my attitude for other players. I like to talk with them and lighten the mood. Of course, I want to play well, but I want to have fun while playing golf. When I putt, I don't align the ball's indicated line (the line on the ball used for alignment). My eyes don't function that way and I grew up with aligning myself with the feel and examining the green's slopes. Even though it may sound as if it is not a good idea to go with feel (not aligning the line on the ball), I do very well with this type of playing style. Along with this, I also like playing ready-golf. With being courteous to the players I'm playing with, I always try to get all of my information ready, so that when it is my turn to hit, I can hit right away. My friends also tell me at school that I am a fast walker, so that means that you don't need to worry about me walking slowly to my ball. In order words, I play fast, but that doesn't mean I rush. :) |
Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: | My favorite athlete is Phil Mickelson. I really admire how he plays golf and how nice he is to his fans. I also admire how he doesn't have any really big blemish when it comes to his personality and attitude when playing golf and talking to people. He may be a lefty, but he got this righty as a lifetime fan. :) |
About Me: | There is this quote that always gives me hope when I do somewhat bad for a tournament. "Life is like an arrow. An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backwards. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, just imagine that it's going to launch you into something great. So just focus and keep aiming." This quote really inspires me because it made it clear to me how life will be at times. It showed me that even if I do bad in school and/or golf, as long as I try my best and work harder in order to reach my goals, I should be fine. I also find irony in it because of the "so just focus and keep aiming" part of the quote. This part reminds me of golf because almost everything in golf is focus and aim. Sometimes I get too complicated and forget the three basic rules of my type of golf: Align, Grip, and Eye on the ball (AGE). Eventually after many years of golf, I plan to reach my goal of becoming a professional golfer. I remember when I was small, I always wanted to play in the Masters'. Back then, I did know that the Masters' was only for men, but I wanted to be the first woman to play in it. Even after all those years, that is still one of my goals. |
