Recommendation: Matt is one of the hardest working players I have ever coached. He is willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win and is a natural leader. He has gap to gap power and hits the ball to all fields. He had a good concept of the strike zone and can execute in all phases of the game offensively. Defensively he is a good fielder at 1B and is a quality receiver and blocker of the baseball when he is behind the plate. His arm strength is continuing to improve as a result of his commitment in the weight room.
