Recommendation: This letter serves as a recommendation for Mark Fedro. Mark has been in our program for 2+ years, and I feel confident in my ability to share about him as a player and person.

Mark was our starting 3rd baseman as a sophomore on a senior heavy team that made it to the CIF quarterfinals. Mark was also a member of our CIF championship basketball team. His level of athleticism from the basketball court definitely stands out on the baseball field. Mark is tall and rangy, with a frame that certainly has room to fill out. He has put in a tremendous amount of work in the weightroom already, which has really paid off. Last year he was our defensive player of the year even though it was his first year playing full time 3rd base. He was a middle infielder prior to that. His best qualities as a defender are his ability to make the above average play and his ability to make strong accurate throws consistently.

As a hitter Mark has power to drive the ball to all fields. He has shown the ability to hit the ball out of the park in BP, and it will most certainly come in games at some point. For a young hitter Mark is also an exceptional breaking ball hitter. He is able to sit on a fastball and hit a mistake breaking ball out over the plate.

As a person, Mark is a coach's dream. He is a humble leader, great teammate, and plays the game with passion. One of the things I appreciate the most is how coachable he is. He is able to take coaching and apply it. Oftentimes Mark seeks out advice to find ways to get better.
