PERSONAL INFORMATION |
Describe Your Playing Style?: | I show leadership both on and off the court in many different effective ways. As a libero, I have learned that talking and being loud with my voice makes such a huge difference in the outcome of games. Not only does it help me, but it helps my team. With that said, being loud and taking that leadership role of always talking; whether it's "mine!", "you go", "line!", "seam", "tip!", or the many things to be said in volleyball, it really makes a stronger team. I show my leadership role not only in games, but in practices, as well. I am always early for practice, and the last to leave. I hustle around and am NEVER just walking. I always keep a positive attitude. When I see girls on my team disappointed or upset, I take that leadership role to cheer them up and motivate them to work harder with positive encouragement! |
Other activites and interests: | All my life, I have been involved with sports. I literally was raised in a dug out (my mother coached softball)! I was taken up to volleyball tournaments as a baby too. In fifth grade I was starting pitcher for a travel softball team, I was center forward on the Nomads club soccer team and I began at Coast volleyball club, where I was furious to only be playing leap frog! I always played up with my two older sisters (both nationally ranked players). The frustration of only making a learning team my first year at Coast, taught me to work hard, since I hoped to make a higher team the next year. My commitment paid off - I made the national 1's team. I love playing now on the Wave National 17's! All my life, I've always trained hard because I enjoy it. I strive to be at the top level in all that I do! I am social and have lots of friends, but I eat right - I'm smart with nutrition. I enjoy yoga for balance & stretching. I run sometimes because I just need to... and I surf just for FUN! |
