I enjoy being a student athlete because I love field hockey and being a part of a team is really important to me. I enjoy working together with my teammates to set and accomplish goals (winning!). The girls on my team have become some of my best friends. I have learned leadership, cooperation, dedication, and a great work ethic. PERSONAL INFORMATION		  
Describe Your Playing Style?: I primarily play midfield and occasionally play forward. One of my strengths on offense is my ability to make smart passes and to pass into space, so that one of my teammates can run onto the ball. Another strength is my ability to eliminate a defender by either cutting back or doing a quick lift over their stick. Also, my speed gives me an advantage over all defenders. As a midfielder I also have to play defense, and I think that one of my skills as a defender is jabbing in order to make my opponent lose the ball. Finally, another strength of mine is goal scoring; I received the High Scorer award for my varsity high school team this year.
