PERSONAL STATEMENT
I'm a very driven person and I focus on being the best I can possibly be in whatever I do. My drive and work ethic has helped me be the person that I am today. I tend to hold myself to a much higher standard than most. I realize that nobody is perfect but nobody ever said that I couldn't try. My work ethic doesn't stop with baseball, I push myself to be the best in all aspects of life. Because of this I received a 4.0 GPA in my first semester at American River College.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Describe Your Playing Style?: My playing style is something that I take a great pride in. I play with a lot of heart and a lot of energy and I'm aggressive. With that said, I'm also very focused on the task(s) at hand, helping my team win. I play for my team and nobody else. When we are in a baseball game the goal is to win and that's it. It doesn't matter how well I do that day as long as I can help contribute to my teams success.

Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: My all time favorite athlete is Pete Rose. I never got to see him play but I have watched probably every video out there on him and seen every clip I possibly could and the way that he played the game is matched by very few. He is my favorite player because he got told no hundreds of times but he never lost sight of his goals and he never forgot who he was and what he could do. He was not the most gifted player to play the game of baseball but he played the game hard, fast, and aggressive and never gave up and I believe that's something to admire.
Other activites and interests: Other than baseball I love to be outside. I love hunting, fishing, hiking and backpacking. Being outside and immersed in nature is a very relaxing and humbling feeling. When I'm not on the baseball field, it's nice to get away, clear my head, and just take some time to enjoy the great outdoors. Outdoor activities helps with all of the distractions we have today.
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: The biggest influence on my sports career and in my life is my dad. He has taught me almost everything I know about baseball and continues to help me grow as a person and develop as an athlete daily. From the time I was a little kid, he instilled in me the importance of having a good attitude and a great work ethic. I live by these teachings and it has allowed me to continue to strive to be the best version of myself everyday. My dad has always been supportive and positive and has never been one of those guys that yells and screams at you on the field when you did something wrong and I will forever be grateful for that. My dad taught me the game of baseball and his love for the game transferred over to me not because he forced it on me but because he showed me how happy it could make me. He taught me how to have fun and enjoy playing the game of baseball and that's something many dads tend to forget to do. Because of my dad I have become stronger mentally both in life and on the field and I have grown into the man I am today. I am very thankful for that. Not only would I not be the player I am today without my dad, but I would not be the man I am today without my dad.
About Me: I have many dreams and goals that I wish to accomplish in my lifetime. One of those dreams is to play D1 college baseball. I have been told no so many times by a bunch of different coaches and scouts but I haven't let that deter me. Everybody has their own opinions and I respect that but I know I can play this game. I'm extremely motivated and I work hard every day to fine tune my skills so that my dream of playing D1 baseball can become a reality someday. All I need is to be given an opportunity and I promise you, I will not take it for granted and will make the most of it.
