PERSONAL STATEMENT
Everyone thinks of golf as an individual sport, however, I feel that collegiate golf provides a platform for golfers to actually feel like a team and I would love to participate and thrive in a team environment. What sets me apart as an individual is my capacity to manage and succeed at several tasks, such as maintaining my 4.2 GPA as well as my 75.40 scoring average and I feel that it is this very skill that will help me excel in a college atmosphere, and be a great asset to your team.

Recommendation: I have been coaching Aryan Chordia for the past six years here at The Butch Harmon School of Golf in my capacity as Director of Instruction. Over this time Aryan has displayed the potential to be an excellent player whilst balancing his studies which are also very important to him. His strengths as a person are his friendly, open manner; he is easy to get along with and coach. He also has the ability to concentrate and work hard and when his studies/time has allowed, he has performed at a high level.

As a player, he has developed a simple action which needs a small amount of fine tuning and has worked hard on his short game. He has shown maturity to share academic goals alongside golf goals and this has definitely maintained a grounded approach to his game where he can look forward to continued improvement in the future. I have had the pleasure of working closely with Aryan since 2007 and have enjoyed watching him develop into a lovely young man with an exceptional golfing ability. Aryan is currently sixteen years old with a USGA handicap index of 0.9. He has won many junior and adult tournaments in both the UAE and his home country of India. He is extremely well mannered, very bright, and a popular character not only among other junior golfers but also our adult members.

Aryan shows wonderful dedication in not only his golf but also his academics. I believe that Aryan has huge potential and would be able to make a very worthwhile contribution to a top college or university if given the opportunity. At just 16 years old, Aryan is playing off a handicap of 1 which highlights his incredible talent. Aryan has a natural love for the game and fantastic temperament.
