Recommendation: Ashley is entering her Senior year at Los Alamitos HS (coached by Meredith Adamicki) and plays OC XTeam Club (coached by Crista Samaras). I had the pleasure of coaching Ashley at the 2009 National Tournament in Maryland. She was one of 22 players selected for the Southern California Regional team from over 100 talented athletes nominated by their coaches. I was blown away by Ashley's athleticism, speed, tenacity and overall understanding of the field and the game. In our second game versus a New York team Ashley dominated the field; she plays midfield and is an extremely strong transition player, she was involved in low defense, midfield key transition plays and low attack both scoring and assisting. She was the MVP of that game, I had coaches asking who she was immediately following the game. She has endless energy, incredible speed and enthusiasm for the game. Ashley was attentive during time outs, half times and always eager to learn how she could improve post-game. She is teachable, assertive, fast learning, extremely competitive and quick thinking. Ashley is reliable, a true team player, encouraging, positive, and well respected by her teammates. We began the tournament practice upon our arrival in Maryland, we had a short practice, she immediately stood out to me as a go-to player who was able to pick up on her teammate's strengths quickly.
