PERSONAL STATEMENT
My greatest desire for my college experience is to play football for an elite-level academic and athletic institution. To be a well-rounded person, it is essential to be both academically and athletically sound. I am focused and passionate in both of these areas, and take my responsibilities very seriously. My dedication to them can be shown in both my play/character on the field and my work ethic in the classroom/real world.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Describe Your Playing Style?: I have a adopted the motto of my school's football program: "A relentless pursuit of competitive excellence." To me, this means constantly playing aggressively while also maintaining a sense of control on the field. It means playing within the rules and to the whistle, but also making sure my opponents remember who they played against when they wake up the following morning.

Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: JJ Watt, Mike Trout, and Shayne Skov
Other activites and interests: Student government-Class Council member, study of World War II history, baseball, snowboarding, and sailing
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: My Pop-Warner coach Rich Juarez has made a major impact on my development as both an athlete and young man. Having coached me from third to eighth grade, Coach Rich influenced the development of my work ethic. He taught me how to ignore exhaustion and to play with the mindset of being "Agile, Hostile, Mobile." A very intense man, he helped ignite my love for football. He taught me to be accountable for my actions, and to hold my teammates to the highest expectations.
About Me: I am proud of my ability to lead in different situations. Whether it is being vocal during a football game, pushing my teammates to be better, or when it is off the field when I lead my friends by example.
My perception of how my closest friends view me is that I am a positive and effective leader, a well-rounded member of society, and trustworthy friend that can be relied upon. I value my relationships with all of my peers, not just my friends. I wish to be the most respected guy in my class.
I will always remember the goal I set during the first week of freshmen year for my high school experience. It is to prove the stereotypes about football players wrong by being the best all around person I can.
