Patrick continues to prove himself as the top infield defenders in the class. The combinations of elite hands, ability to throw accurately from all angles and instincts that consistently show up in game action have earned him that distinction. Very confident in his hands and shows range to both sides with increased athleticism. Showed 79 mph velocity across the diamond and at the plate he gets the barrel in the zone consistently posting 85 mph exit velo Overall athleticism as a dual sport athlete in both basketball and baseball while maintaining a 4.3 GPA in the classroom make Patrick one the few dual sport athletes in his class. Patrick is a game changer on the field and projects as one of the top MIF defenders in the 2021 class with consistent power bat to match his glove. Long lean and projectable Patrick is a D1 prospect and has the tools to project up considerably with continued physical maturation. .

RE: Patrick Herrera
I am writing this as a recommendation for Patrick Herrera. I have been coaching Patrick for 8 years in
both club ball and the high school level. He is a middle infielder that plays both 2nd base and shortstop
equally as well. He is gifted athletically and has great feet, hands and range. He has the arm strength to
stick at the shortstop position, with the ability to throw from any arm angle.
As a hitter, Patrick has always hit at the top of the lineup. He is a great contact hitter with surprising pop
in his bat. He understands the strike zone which allows him to have a very high on base percentage. His
ability and instincts on the bases, creates chaos and puts the opponent in an uncomfortable position.
Patrick is very coachable and always eager to learn and get better. He has a very high baseball IQ and an
unlimited ceiling with his potential.
As highly as I regard Patrick as a player, he is an even better person. He is very respectful to coaches,
officials, teammates and the opponents. He has started in two varsity sports since his freshman year,
basketball and baseball. He does extremely well in the classroom, with a GPA well above 4.0.
Being around baseball for as long as I have, Patrick is the kind of player I would love to have. He always
represents himself very well and would be a cornerstone player to build a program around.
