PERSONAL STATEMENT
As an athlete, I am looking for a college that will better me on and off the field as a player and person. Whoever takes a chance on me will not regret it. You get someone who will work until they find success out of me. I have never been taught to keep my head down in times where success isn't always there for me but rather to grind my way through it with a strong mind. I train with college and professional athletes almost daily because they are truly living my dream and I've been taught you must surround yourself with those who already have what I aspire. Family is everything for me and I want nothing more than the pride of continuing to make them proud and do great things at the next level.

I met Coach Gorrell in January 2018 after my mom sent him a request for a tryout. I've played for him ever since. Although I am Tucson-based, and his Club organization, AZ Sandlot is Phoenix-based, I travel to attend tournaments. I do not attend weekly practices or workouts because we are about 100 miles apart. He has given me every opportunity to better my game, and he believes in my ability. He stayed in contact with me throughout my injury and surgery late last year. |

Coach Baker is the current High School Varsity Baseball Coach at Ironwood Ridge HS in Oro Valley, AZ. I met Coach Baker last year as an incoming Freshman during the 2018-2019 HS season. He selected me for his Varsity team and I went on to start in about 8 games behind Nate Baez who ended up committing to ASU after that season. I met Donny in the Fall of 2018. Since then, he has become my closest coach, trainer, mentor, and friend. He betters me in every aspect of the game. We do individual pro-style workouts during the off-season when he is not playing. Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he has been home in Tucson for several months now, which has allowed us more time to workout (usually several times/week). Since he is a catcher, he gives me pro-style catching drills straight from the NYY organization. |

I was picked up this summer by Coach Huie's BNL program after reaching out to find a local option to train and work with on a more regular basis. I played in four tournaments during June and July and was selected to return for their Fall Scout Team (previously the Yankee Scout team); this year, due to recruiting restrictions, it will be called the BNL Scout Team. Although I just joined BNL, I was able to prove my abilities this summer and look forward to continuing to play for Coach Huie. |

Coach Durazo was my first real coach, outside of my dad, and Little League. I started working with him when I was 8 years old. At the time, he was the catching and hitting coach at Pima Community College here in Tucson, AZ. I continued to work with him for several years. He is the one who shaped me as a player and helped me to develop the "right" habits that have stayed with me to this day. |
