At age 13, I was asked by a coach to indicate on a note card what my name was and what position I preferred. I wrote the following: "Jimmy, and I'm a lefty". This statement is reflective of my desire to take on any role a coach feels I am best able to contribute to the overall success of the team. I work hard both on and off the field and feel that when the time comes, I'll have the skill set athletically and academically to continue my baseball career at the collegiate level.
