PERSONAL STATEMENT
Having the title of a student-athlete is extremely important to me. I've put in a lot of work and energy into the sport of baseball and I'm determined to continue putting in the work to continue my baseball career. I'm looking for a university or college that will help develop me for the next level of baseball and prepare me for life in my chosen major outside of baseball.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Describe Your Playing Style?: Calm, cool and collected as one of my coaches says. I enjoy the art of pitching, which is why I pattern myself after Greg Maddux, and Trevor Bauer to some degree. Watching a pitcher keep hitters off balance with location, movement and speed variation is so much more entertaining to me than watching someone beat hitters with speed. The chess match on the mound is what drives me.

Favorite Athlete(s) and why?: Greg Maddux - Intelligent/Studious pitcher, my favorite quote of his from HOF interview regarding his turnaround - "I knew how to pitch fast enough, but I didn't know how to pitch slow enough."
Trevor Bauer - I have trained with him and still train with his dad, he is a lot like Maddux in how he breaks down pitching.
Robinson Cano - Grew up a Yankee fan, and he was one guy that captured my attention when I first started really watching the game.
Lou Gherig - a Yankee great who I admire from an off the field standpoint. Quiet and humble, high character, ready to play every day at a high level.
Other activites and interests: Hiking and exploring the unknown.
Teaching youth baseball players and leading by example on and off the field.
Visiting historical places with rich history.
Who's been the biggest influence on my sports career and why?: My Dad. A coach himself, he has always been there, a steady and constant influence coaching me in life and communicating between each other on events during my baseball career. He has been the best father and he motivates me everyday, cares about my health and nutrition and always is there for me wanting me to be the best baseball player and man in life.
About Me: I am relatively shy and quiet when I first meet people or I am placed in a new large group. Once I get to know people and develop trust, my friends know me to be a lot more vocal and humorous than most people think I am.
