Southern Mariners represented Australia at the Asia and went through the tournament undefeated to qualify for the Senior League World Series in Mayne US, the 1st ever charter from Australia to achieve this. During this tournament, Ben was selected to represent Australia at the U/15 WSC World Cup in Japan so was not able to travel with the team to the US where they lost the World Series Championship game..
