Brian was a two sport athlete at Hilliard Darby High School in the Columbus, Ohio area lettering in football and baseball, where he helped lead the program to its first Ohio Capital Conference and District Championships in 2007. He continued his playing career at Division III Thiel College, where he was a part of two teams that finished as runner up of the Presidents Athletic Conference tournament in 2008-2009.
Brian began his coaching career as a student assistant coach at Thiel while completing his undergraduate education from 2010-2011, joining the staff full time in 2011 as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator after receiving his degree in Business Administration. He helped lead the team to the conference tournament in 2013 before moving to Division II Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio. He served as the recruiting coordinator for two seasons, leading the team to its first ever NCAA tournament appearance in 2014. Brian finished his collegiate coaching career at Division III John Carroll University before entering private business. He also served as the recruiting coordinator for the Ohio Elite North travel baseball program from 2016-2018.
Brian lives in Mentor, Ohio with his wife, Andrea, and their dog, a Golden Retriever/Boxer mix named Sophie.
