Jim has been coaching baseball for more than 20 years. Jim has coached, trained, and developed ball players at every age and skill level. After injuries forced an early end to his playing career, Jim started coaching in the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association and now coaches and trains high school players for a variety of club teams in and around the Midwest. He has a passion for helping players reach their full potential and be prepared to make it to the next level in their baseball career.
Jim has been a recruiting coordinator for many years and has the knowledge and dedication to help players and families navigate the challenges of the recruiting process. Along with coaching, Jim has coordinated several training programs for student-athletes that include off-season strength and conditioning programs, as well as developing specific, individual action plans to help a player maximize their measurables and put themselves in the best position to achieve their goals both on and off the ball field. Jim has coach hundreds of athletes that have gone on to play college baseball and has coached or trained several players that have been selected in the MLB draft.
He has coached in high level tournaments in 24 states and has had a chance to evaluate talent across the country. Jim has had the pleasure of mentoring hundreds of high school and collegiate baseball players and understands the importance of building strong relationship with players and families to personalize a realistic plan that will lead them to a program that is the best fit for the player. In addition, Jim is the father of 2 high school athletes, and he knows first-hand how challenging and important this decision is for the future of a student-athlete. Having a deep passion for making players better, Jim currently works with a development company designing baseball mobile apps to assist coaches and players reach the next level.
It is Jim’s goal to take what might be a confusing and sometimes stressful recruiting process, and turn it into a journey that is encouraging and exciting for the athlete.
