Dan Dixon has an extensive baseball background. He signed with the Texas Rangers and played 4-years of minor league baseball, reaching AA. His career in professional baseball continued after his playing days when he started scouting for the MLB Scouting Bureau. There, he had an incredible 34-year career serving mainly as an amateur scout with the MLB Scouting Bureau. Dan also did some pro and international scouting as well.
Dan’s experience and reputation led him to be an instructor for 12 years with the SDP – Scout Development Program. He has founded and managed several high exposure elite player showcase programs over the years. Dan’s accomplishments in scouting are highlighted by being awarded the prestigious and exclusive MLSB Scout of the Year in 2007 and the PBSSC - Distinguished Service in Scouting in 2013.
Dan is committed to baseball and continues to reinvent himself to stay ahead of the industry changes, advances and demands. He is determined and dedicated to helping young student-athletes reach their dreams of playing college baseball, professional baseball and beyond. He currently resides in Temecula, CA with his wife of 26 years, Gloria.
