We would like to congratulate Joseph Talas on his commitment to Yavapai College. Here is a highlight of his recruiting story. Good luck as a Roughrider!

College Decision:
Yavapai College

Why choose the Yavapai College?
After visiting several campuses and meeting with head coaches, I found that Yavapai College felt the most comfortable and aligned with both my athletic and academic goals. Coach Woods stood out as someone who genuinely believes in his players and has a proven track record of helping them achieve their baseball aspirations. Additionally, Yavapai’s business and marketing program offered the strongest combination of resources and opportunities, making it the ideal place for me to grow both as a student and as an athlete. This combination made Yavapai College the clear choice for the next chapter of my baseball and academic journey.

What makes you excited about your future in college?
I’m excited about my future in college because it represents a chance to grow both academically and personally. I’m looking forward to building relationships with new teammates, classmates, and professors while pursuing my passion for baseball and business. College is an opportunity to challenge myself, explore new opportunities, and work toward my long-term goals. I’m especially excited to combine my interests in athletics and marketing to prepare for a future that I’m passionate about, both on and off the field.

Why would you recommend SportsForce to other student-athletes or parents?
I would highly recommend SportsForce to any athlete looking to navigate the recruiting process. They take the guesswork out of what can be an overwhelming experience and provide expert guidance every step of the way. From creating a professional recruiting video to crafting emails that stand out, SportsForce ensures you present yourself in the best light to college coaches. For me, Matt Sugarmann went above and beyond, personally reaching out to coaches and making the connections that led to opportunities I wouldn’t have had on my own. Their personalized approach, knowledge of the recruiting process, and dedication to their athletes make SportsForce an invaluable resource for anyone serious about playing at the next level.

What was your recruiting journey like before SportsForce?
Before working with SportsForce, my recruiting journey was both confusing and challenging. I struggled to figure out how to put together an effective recruiting video that showcased my skills in the best way possible. Writing emails to coaches and trying to get their attention felt overwhelming, especially when I didn’t know exactly what they were looking for or how to stand out. On top of that, it was difficult to get coaches interested enough to come see me play.

SportsForce, and specifically Matt Sugarmann, changed everything for me. They guided me through each step of the process, from creating a professional recruiting video to crafting impactful emails that grabbed coaches’ attention. Matt’s expertise and support made a huge difference, helping me connect with the right coaches and ultimately leading me to find the perfect college fit. Sports Force made what once felt impossible into an exciting and rewarding experience.

What did your personal recruiting advisor do that made a significant impact?
Matt Sugarman played a crucial role in my recruiting journey, especially in connecting me with Coach Woods. He made the phone calls that caught Coach Woods’ attention and convinced him to come out and see me pitch this summer. Without Matt’s persistence and ability to communicate my potential effectively, I might not have had the opportunity to showcase my skills directly to Coach Woods. Matt’s efforts were a turning point in my recruiting process, and I’m incredibly grateful for the role he played in helping me get noticed and ultimately find my place at Yavapai College.

Over the last 14 years, SportsForce has helped over 1,000 student-athletes and families successfully navigate the college recruiting and athletic scholarship process while saving families on average $80,000 in college expenses.

Our Mission at SportsForce Baseball:

We are on a mission to help our select number of qualified and evaluated players maximize their recruiting offers and make the best college decision.

Started by CEO & founder Andrew Beinbrink, SportsForce Baseball is a nationally recognized college recruiting advisory group with over 40 former college coaches, players, and MLB scouts in 10 different states.

Read below, why we are different from every recruiting group in the country.

Why SportsForce is Different:

* View our Home Page Video Unlike most recruiting companies, we do not just partner with anyone for our hands-on recruiting programs.  Instead, we only partner with qualified players who meet our Five academic, athletic, and coachability selection factors

We evaluate between 10,000-12,000 players each summer and fall at top showcases and selectively advise, and advocate for only a limited number of players each year by directly contacting college coaches to help them maximize recruiting offers.

Each of our expert college recruiters is limited to how many players they will advise so there is the best combination of hands-on guidance and personal recruiting outreach to college coaches.
