George is a former Major League Player who was drafted by the California Angels in 1993 and made his major league debut in 1996. In 1997, he was traded to the San Diego Padres. George was part of the Padres National League Champions who played the New York Yankees in the 1998 World Series.
In 2000, he went overseas to play in Japan with the Orix Blue Waves. In 2002, he joined the Hanshin Tigers and played in the Japan World Series in 2003. That same year, he won his first Golden Glove Award and Best Nine at first base.
After 14 years of playing, George retired as a player at the end of 2006 season. He now owns and operates Centerfield Baseball & Softball Academy where his love and passion is to help and develop players to get to the next level.
